Aloha ALL!

Chad Los BanosMy name is Chad Los Banos, aka "Daywalker" on the forums...thanks for stopping by!

In 2003, I decided to submit some of my designs to one of the biggest "names" in the knife industry. Spyderco Knives. Spyderco liked what they saw in one of my concepts, and in 2006, that "concept" became known as the Spyderco model C110, Lava. Incidentally, the Lava was also chosen to represent the Spyderco Forums as their official 2006 Forum Knife. It was a great honor for me to follow my fellow KnifeBrother Dialex, whose C102 Adventura design, was chosen to represent the Spyderco Forum in 2005!

I had some other designs that just did not have the Spyderco "look", but I felt they had some merit to them. I submitted them to several companies, most of which said they were nice, but had too much on their plate at the time to produce them. Some just showed no interest at all. Even though I got turned down by one company in particular, CRKT, I was just really happy to have "met" their CEO, Mr. Rod Bremmer. He never doubted that one day, I would "make it".

Enter Boker USA. Mr. Chuck Hoffman (CEO at that time) and Dan Weidner (current CEO) showed interest in a small folder design of mine. This small folder became a reality in 2005, known as the SUBCOM F. This design has been very well received in the knife industry, and one of my most popular designs. Boker Germany VP, Mr. Carsten Felix-Dalichow created the Boker Plus Line, which includes the Subcom Series of folders and fixed blades.

This has been a dream come true for me. I mean, we are talking two of the biggest companies in the knife industry! Thank you Boker and Spyderco for your ability to "see". The best thing about this whole knife venture however, are the people I have met, and continue to meet, all over the world. I thank God dearly everyday for this blessing, and I thank you all for your support.

Without you, there would be no "CLB Designs"
